Mrs. Price moved to Melbourne as a child and attended Brevard Public Schools from kindergarten through high school graduation.  She holds a Bachelor of Art degree in Social Studies Education from Stetson University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.  Mrs. Price is also a National Board Certified Teacher in Social Studies-History and has taught at the middle and high school level, including experience teaching in a virtual school.  She and her husband, Philip, live in Viera.

Mrs. Jones-Johnson is the School Secretary of the Brevard Virtual Instruction Programs.  She is originally from Mississippi and moved to Florida in 1988; her career with Brevard Public Schools started in 1989.  During her 22 years of service, she has held various clerical positions such as Clerk Typist for the Maintenance Department, Clerk Typist for the Exceptional Student Education Department, Secretary for the Office of Student Services, Secretary for the Office of Area II Psychological Services, and Word Processing Specialist I for the Division of Curriculum and Instruction.  Mrs. Jones-Johnson's awards for the district include, 2008 Employee of the Year for the Division of Curriculum and Instruction and the Educational Services Facility’s Employee Recognition Award “For the Love of It” in 2009.  Mrs. Jones-Johnson is grateful for the opportunity to serve in this position with Virtual Programs and always willing to support the families of Brevard Public Schools

Deborah King

Mrs. King has over 20 years experience with Brevard Public Schools.  She has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Art in Counseling from Webster University.  She was a secondary mathematics teacher for 10 years and has been a guidance counselor and coordinating teacher with students in grades K - 12.  Mrs. King has two adult children who have graduated from Brevard high schools and one grandchild.

Mrs. Arrouet has been a Brevard County School teacher for the last 11 years.  She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Biology and continued her education through the Alternative Teaching Certificate program at UCF and Florida Southern College. Mrs. Arrouet has taught grades K-12, subjects including, Art, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Physical Science. She and her husband, Rob, live in Melbourne and have a baby boy named Christopher.

Ms. Austin grew up in Melbourne and graduated from Melbourne High School.  She attended University of Central Florida and received a degree in elementary education.  She taught Kindergarten for 3 years, then moved back to Melbourne.  She attended Nova Southeastern University and obtained a master's and specialist's degrees.  She has two children, a college freshmen and a high school junior.  In her free time, she enjoys watching her children compete in crew,  swimming and gardening.  She also loves to travel during the summer.

Carol Chisolm

With over eight years teaching experience on the elementary, secondary, and post-secondary levels, Mrs. Chisolm began her teaching career as a substitute while stationed in Germany with her husband.  After relocating to Florida, she began teaching business classes at Brevard Community College Patrick Air Force Base before becoming a full-time elementary teacher at Riverside Christian Academy.  After a short stretch in the business industry, Mrs. Chisolm returned to education teaching Middle Grades Math and Business Education.  Most recently, she taught Computer Applications, Computing for College and Careers, Keyboarding, and Career Wheel at Madison Middle School in Titusville.  Mrs. Chisolm is certified in Middle Grades Mathematics and Business Education.  Mrs. Chisolm earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master’s in Business Administration from Oklahoma City University.  She has a son who will begin Chiropractic school in October and a daughter who is a sophomore at West Shore Jr. Sr. High School.

Mrs. Dean began teaching in Brevard County in 1996 and has taught at the elementary and secondary levels.  She has also taught in the private sector.  She really loves teaching in a virtual environment and is thrilled to be part of Brevard Virtual School.  Mrs. Dean earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exceptional Education from the University of Central Florida, and in an effort to continue learning, she has also earned certifications in physical education, educational media specialist, elementary education and health.  Being a lifelong learner, staying active, and learning ways to live healthier are very important to Mrs. Dean.  In her free time, she enjoys active outdoor fun such as kayaking, hiking, and jogging.  Mrs. Dean lives in Cocoa with her wonderful, supportive husband, beautiful daughter, highly intelligent dog, and two cats (no adjectives required to describe the cats).

Susan Dupree

Mrs. Susan Dupree

Ms. Dupree is a National Board Certified Teacher with more than 20 years of teaching experience, from elementary through high school. Fifteen years of her teaching has been in Brevard County and she taught for Florida Virtual School for six years. She has a long history of directing in educational theatre, as well.  Ms. Dupree believes that history and culture are transmitted through the arts, and strives to make story, both fiction and non-fiction, relevant to her students by assisting students to unlock textual meaning.  A two-time Disney award-winning teacher, she sees teaching online as the best way to have one-to-one instruction time with her students.  In her spare time, she writes screenplays.  She is currently a UCLA Screenwriting student.

Ms. Foy has taught in Brevard county for five years and has been fortunate to teach many subjects and a diverse group of students. She has taught a variety of course from Career Research and Learning Strategies to Algebra and English. While this is her first year teaching online, she has been an online student for much of her college career. She understands the importance of being able to access information through the internet. Ms. Foy truly believes that taking courses online will enable students to sharpen skills that are vital in today’s society.  When not teaching, she is a mom to her son and they enjoy taking day trips to Disney and going on runs with their dog. Being a mom has taught Ms. Foy a great deal and helped her to be the teacher she is today.  She is excited about this year with Brevard Virtual School! 

Clara Gill

 Dr. Clara Gill grew up in Philadelphia when June Cleaver was still a role model and most little girls assumed that they would someday clean house in high heals and pearls.  Breaking out of that mold, she majored in pre-med at Villanova University, graduating in 1972 with a degree in Secondary Education / Chemistry and Mathematics.  In 2000, Dr. Gill earned her National Board Certification in Early Adolescent Science, one of only 250 teachers in the country to hold the certificate at that time.  In 2003, she graduated from University of Central Florida’s Lockheed Martin Academy for Teachers of Mathematics and Science with a Master of Science Degree in Science Education.   In 2010, she earned her doctorate from the University of Central Florida by researching the connections between science and mathematics education.  Dr. Gill has been teaching middle school for over 25 years and currently serves as a science teacher and science Department Chair at James Madison Middle School, in Titusville, Florida.  She has been married for 40 years.  She and her husband have four children and six grandchildren.  She enjoys family outings to the Disney Parks and as an avid swimmer especially likes Typhoon Lagoon.  She and her husband love to travel and enjoy their pets including 5 parrots, and 4 dogs.  She believes in the lyrics from a Whitney Houston song that remind us “Children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way.” 

Brandie Glessner

Ms. Glessner began teaching in Brevard Public Schools in 2006. She has taught grades 7-12 and holds certifications in English, Reading, Social Studies, and ESOL.  She enjoys teaching in both traditional and virtual classrooms. She is very excited to join Brevard Virtual School this year.  A Pennsylvania native, Ms. Glessner earned her undergraduate degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Driven by her love of technology and enthusiasm for online learning, she earned her Master of Arts in Instructional Technology and Media with a focus in eLearning from the University of Central Florida.  An avid reader, Ms. Glessner believes strong literacy skills are key to success in academics and in life. She enjoys spending her leisure time relaxing outdoors, working out, going to the movies, and attending sporting events with friends.   

Tim Larson

Mr. Larson is in his 24th year of teaching for Brevard Public Schools.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Driver’s Education from the University of North Dakota and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.  Mr. Larson has taught 3rd, 4th, and 6th grade.  He also served at an Assistant Principal for 9 years.  He currently lives in Titusville.  In his ‘spare’ time, he enjoys golfing, jogging, and relaxing with friends.

Mrs. Loyd started her teaching career in 1999 and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Edward Waters College and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.  She is certified in Business Education (Grades 6-12) and has taught Career Wheel, Business Keyboarding, and Computing for Colleges and Careers. She is thrilled to be a part of Brevard Virtual School. 

Judy Merashoff

Ms. Merashoff started her employment with Brevard schools as a teaching assistant, (knowing right off she wanted to be a teacher) at Lewis Carroll Elementary and then moved to McNair Magnet School, while attending Brevard Community College nights and weekends.  Once she graduated from BCC, she took a leave of absence to complete her teaching degree at the University of Central Florida.  She started teaching six weeks before graduation full-time at Jefferson Middle School, where she taught English, Math, Science, Social Studies and Reading to Learning Disabled students, as well as, Character Education, Team Building and Critical Thinking to all students.  In 2003, she moved to become a Reading teacher at Palm Bay High School, where she is presently employed.  At PBHS she helps before school in the Credit Retrieval lab and has on-line tutoring using WIMBA with her reading students and anyone else who wishes to participate.  In her free time, she loves to read, to research on the Internet finding fun ways to present reading skills/strategies, and to produce fun learning games and activities for her students.  She loves technology, especially when it is working properly.

Laurie Pattillo

Mrs. Pattillo has been an educator for over 12 years and is currently an English instructor for both Brevard Virtual School and Brevard Community College.   She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Language Arts Education from Auburn University and a Master of Arts in Literature from the University of Central Florida.  Mrs. Pattillo loves to read and hopes to instill that joy of reading in her students as well.  She is married with 10-year-old twins who stay busy after school and on weekends with surfing, boating, fishing, soccer, gymnastics and the list goes on…  

Christine Rodecker

Mrs. Rodecker is excited to be starting her first year with Brevard Virtual School. By day, she teaches middle school Social Studies in a traditional school setting.  Also, she has taught various subjects in Social Studies at the high school level. Mrs. Rodecker holds a Master of Science degree in Education and a Master of Arts in Labor Relations.  Prior to pursuing her love of history, she worked within the field of Human Resources for many years. Originally from New York State, Mrs. Rodecker loves going to the beach when she isn’t chauffeuring her children to their many activities! Mrs. Rodecker believes that education is the key to success for young students.  She looks forward to working with her students to help them reach their inner strengths and abilities and discover what truly inspires them.

Greg Stauffer

Mr. Stauffer is originally from Philadelphia, PA, and has been hooked on science ever since his middle school years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aquaculture Technology from Florida Tech and a Master of Science degree in Fisheries and Aquatic Science from University of Florida. Prior to formally teaching, he applied his science background in the fields of aquaculture, business and research.  This has allowed him to travel widely working from the Aleutian Islands, AK, to the Caribbean and several locations in Florida.   Doing so many informal teaching opportunities helped developed his love for teaching and lead him to his current position as a middle school Science teacher and science department chair for L.B. Johnson Middle School.  When not in the classroom, Mr. Stauffer enjoys most things aquatic, especially building and paddling wooden kayaks along our wonderful rivers and coastlines. He passionately believes that education is the key to opportunities in life and is very excited to be working with Brevard Virtual Schools to help students reach their goals  

Jodi Van Wagoner

Mrs. Van Wagoner has been a mathematics instructor for 12 years.  Her educational career began with Orange County Public Schools in 2000.   In 2004, her family moved to Brevard County and she began working at Satellite High School and then in 2009, at Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High School.  Mrs. Van Wagoner holds a B.A. in Communications from Central Connecticut State University and a M.Ed. from the University of Central Florida. She has taught students in grades 6-12 with various course titles and recently facilitated an online Mathematics Differentiation course for K-12 teachers and administrators.  Mrs. Van Wagoner is also currently working on completing her Gifted Endorsement this fall.  Mrs. Van Wagoner has been married for almost 20 years and is the mother of two teenagers ages 14 and 17. She lives in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida and enjoys going to the beach, bicycling, doing pottery and of course, mathematics.
