Brevard Virtual eSchool
Brevard Virtual eSchool proudly partners with Calvert Education Services for our
curriculum program. Calvert has been innovating curriculum for more
than 100 years to provide students with the individual attention
they need to be successful in academics. BVES works hand in hand
with Calvert to ensure the highest level of education for your
child.
Pending School Board approval on May 14, 2013, Brevard eSchool,
formally known as Brevard Virtual Elementary School, will expand
service to grades K-8.
Curriculum
The Calvert curriculum is a hybrid one in which
students will work closely with parents and teachers to ensure
learning growth at appropriate rates. Along with one on one
learning, students are given access to online activities that
reinforce skills in all subject areas. Such activities include
online games, videos, and interactives.
This hybrid learning style certifies that students are making
adequate learning gains throughout each school year.
Education Counselors
Along with your child’s Brevard Public School teacher, you are given access to other professionals through Calvert who are also experts in the Calvert curriculum as well as student development.
Connexus
Connexus is the online portal for your child’s
academics and progress monitoring. Connexus is used to mark
attendance through daily checkpoints, view your child’s grades, and
correspond with your teachers. Through Connexus, your child is also
given online supplemental and enrichment activities. Such activities
are used to enhance your child’s understanding of curriculum
materials and specific academic skills.
